2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Cabernet Franc - Gold Medal
This is the worlds largest wine competition of American wine. The competition included 4,913 wines from 23 U.S. states, the bulk of which are west coast. Judging takes a full week and is held at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds in Sonoma County, California.
Sharrott Winery Takes “Best Chardonnay” at 9th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition
Unoaked Chardonnay – Best Chardonnay and Double Gold

The Sharrott Winery, estate-grown 2008 Unoaked Chardonnay won Best Chardonnay at the 2009 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Held March 29th 2009 in Rochester, NY, the competition was officiated by judges and wine experts from the full range of disciplines—winemakers, sommeliers, chefs, oenologists, wine educators and restauranteurs. There were 2665 entries from 556 wineries representing 13 countries, 41 states and 4 Canadian provinces.
The world’s largest charitable wine competition, it was the first part of a benefit to support Camp Good Days and Special Times, a Finger Lakes-based non-profit organization that offers a residential camping experience to families touched by tragedy or terminal illness. The second half of the fundraiser, a gala dinner and wine auction. Our Unoaked Chardonnay sold for an unbelievable $650, that's over $50 a bottle.

Three wines from Sharrott Winery’s 2007 vintage won awards at this statewide competition sponsored by the Garden State Wine Growers Association. As it was the inaugural bottling, only three wines were ready in time to meet the submission deadline. All three earned awards.
